My greatest fear

My greatest fear :

My greatest fear is the manifestation of our inner turmoils as calamities in the external world we live in.

Usually stimulus happens outside, and we suffer inside. Your lover leaves you and walks away, and your heart breaks inside you. You undergo some trauma in your life and the mental scar hurts you for a long time. So, we internalize external events and hurt our body and mind. The other way can also be true, and this is my greatest fear.

Carl Jung was 14 when his father was on his death bed. Unlike other children who may be scared, concerned, or crying, Carl was fascinated. He was so excited by the idea that his father would die, that he never left his bedside for days. He wanted to see what will happen to his father when he dies. Carl’s mental energy was so high that he sometimes would feel dizzy and would get up and pace around the room. On one occasion, when he suddenly bent down to pick up something near his father’s bed, he heard a drawer open with a loud noise far away in the room. Carl claims that his mental disturbance caused the table drawer to open far away from him. His famous saying is: “Our destiny is the external manifestation of our internal subconscious conflicts”. He tells that our subconscious thoughts, and feelings, and desires can influence the course of our lives.

Extending this theory a bit further, my fear is that if our collective mental disturbance is so high, can it cause external calamities such as floods, forest fire, and other destructive events in the world we live in. Well, I hope and pray that this never comes true. However, I feel that we should all manage our mental disturbances without it taking over our lives. We should seek medical and spiritual help as needed.

I love you all very much

Stay calm, happy and blessed !
