The world needs more of trendsetters than followers
We have all been brought up by telling us to follow certain rules and principles in life. Be a good citizen, follow what elders have to say, focus on education etc. These are all important things to do in life. However we also have to learn by ourselves to follow our intuition, to follow our passion and become bold, and to think out of the box.
Steve Jobs, founder of Apple Inc. was a trendsetter. He was one of the first ones to think of swipe, pinch and zoom, use your fingers to interact with the screen. We have all taken this for granted now. He is a trendsetter, he thought out of the box, about using the phone screen to interact with the device rather than a keyboard and a mouse. He then followed it up to perfection and released these great Apple products.
Mahatma Gandhi got us independence by following a path of non-violence. What better example can one think of with trendsetting than this for world peace. This came right at the heels of world war II. It does not matter if people don’t follow non-violence now, Gandhi achieved what he set out for!
Also, you don’t have to do something big as Jobs or Gandhi, change the normal everyday in small doses, for yourself.
Become a trendsetter in your own field. Don’t be afraid of failures.
If you follow a certain path, you can only go so far. But if you create a path, imagine how many people can benefit from it.

Good one 👌👌👌
Circumstances and situations play a huge role for a successful trend setting.
The team who work together are often ignored and the main person is glorified in most of the cases.
Gandhiji was a trendsetter, no doubt, but he would have failed if not for his supporters.
My observations. I may have put in my wrong foot forward.
agree Asha, both can happen… leader may get side stepped by others… and like you said a leader can only go as far as his followers go with him. Good observation and comment !

“Become a Trendsetter” is an inspiring and heartfelt reminder that we don’t have to follow the crowd to find success or meaning. Through powerful examples like Steve Jobs and Mahatma Gandhi, the post illustrates how thinking differently—whether in technology or in values—can leave a lasting impact.
What makes it especially engaging is the encouragement that you don’t need to change the world to be a trendsetter; even small shifts in your everyday life can spark meaningful change. The tone is uplifting and relatable, gently nudging the reader to trust their instincts and not fear failure.
It’s a motivating read that makes you pause, reflect, and perhaps take that first bold step you’ve been hesitating on.
